Author Guidelines
This is the Author Guidelines for English Education: Jurnal Tadris Bahasa Inggris.
ATTENTION. Please carefully read the following guidelines and prepare your manuscript accordingly before submission. If you have any questions, please ask the Contact Person provided. Your manuscript might be rejected if you don’t follow these guidelines.
Withdrawal Policy:
Authors are strongly discouraged from withdrawing submitted manuscripts after they have entered the publication process (review, copyedit, layout, etc.). Please note that valuable resources and time have been invested by English Education: Jurnal Tadris Bahasa Inggris in processing the manuscript.
Similarity Check:
All manuscripts will undergo a similarity check upon submission. Manuscripts with a similarity score of more than 20% will be returned to be edited, and manuscripts with more than 25% similarity score will be automatically rejected.

Language
Manuscripts must be written in English. Please ensure that your manuscript is thoroughly proofread before submission.
Format and Length
- Submissions must be provided as editable source files, not PDFs. For Word documents, use the .doc or .docx file extension. For LibreOffice documents, use .odt file extension. For LaTeX files, use the .tex extension.
- Lay out the text in a single column format with adequate line spacing and margins.
- Using the spell-check and grammar-check tools in your word processor can help eliminate errors before submission.
- We do not expect the author(s) to follow our template as is, however, we need want the author(s) to follow the guideline here.
- The main body of the manuscript should be structured into four sections: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. Use bold capital letters for these section headings.
- Manuscript length can vary, but the main body should be at least 2.500 words, excluding the abstract, tables, references, appendices, etc.
Structure
The manuscript should contain the following elements in the specified order:
- Title (maximum of 10 words)
- Abstract
- Keywords (4-6 words)
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments (if there is any)
- References
Authorship
- This journal follows a double anonymized peer review process, meaning the author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. This helps ensure an unbiased evaluation.
- Corresponding authors should describe each co-author's contributions using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) categorizations. Not all roles apply to every author.
- Please do not include the name of the authors in the manuscript, instead:
- Ensure that all the authors are listed in the metadata,
- Send a supplementary file including the authorship statements. This statement includes a section that ensure English Education: Jurnal Tadris Bahasa Inggris is the only journal this manuscript is sent, copyright transfer agreement, authorship, and statement of ethic approval. Title PageThe title page is important for providing key metadata about the submission. Follow these guidelines:
- Article Title - Should be concise yet informative, avoiding unnecessary abbreviations or formulas unless widely understood.
- We welcome a simple yet explanatory title with method mentioned, i.e, ..... a systematic literature review, ..... a case study of ...., a comparative analysis of .....
Abstract
Provide a well-structured abstract summarizing the purpose, methods, key findings, and main conclusions in a maximum of 250 words. Abstracts should be self-contained, without references.
Keywords
Include 1-7 keywords that will assist with indexing of the article. Use succinct, important terms and avoid multi-word phrases where possible.
Introduction- Explain study background, problem, novelty, and significance
- Present literature review/theoretical concepts (it might be separate on itegrated, it is up to the author(s))
- Include at least 20 recent related works
Research Method
Describe research design, population/sample, instruments, data analysis
Findings and Discussion (do not separate them and always provide both)- Findings: Present data/results addressing research questions
- Discussion: Interpret findings, relate to theory/previous studies, cite back at least 60% of the literatures found in introduction
Conclusion
Linked to title/objectives, implications, no repetition of abstract/results
Tables
Tables must be provided as editable text rather than images to allow for reformatting if needed. Follow these guidelines:
- Cite each table in the manuscript text
- Number tables consecutively
- Include a clear, descriptive caption
- Include any notes or legends below the table
Avoid excessive use of tables to prevent duplication of data presented elsewhere in text or figures.
Supplementary MaterialSupplementary materials enhance the research by providing data, applications, animations, etc. Some key points:
- Cite all supplementary files in the main text
- Include a caption describing each file
- Submit updated files if revisions are needed
- Multimedia files should follow provided specifications
- Generally in the supplementary section author(s) are expeted to send:
- Authorship statements, link to download is provided in the authorship section.
- Data Availability statement indicating whether data was deposited and where it can be accessed, or why it could not be made available. Can be downloaded here:
Article Structure
- Organize your article into numbered sections and subsections following the provided template. Section headings should be concise yet descriptive on a separate line from the text.
- Include a glossary to define field-specific terminology used in your work.
- Use footnotes sparingly and number them consecutively. Explanatory content is preferably incorporated into the main text
FundingDisclose all sources of funding for the research and manuscript preparation. Include grant numbers and describe any involvement of funders in the study.
AppendicesMark appendices alphabetically (A, B, C, etc.) and number any equations, tables or figures within using the appendix letter (e.g. A.1, B.2).
References - Follow the guidelines of the American Psychological Association's 7th edition for formatting references in the text and reference list.
- Provide DOIs whenever possible to allow linking to referenced content.
- Ensure all references precisely match cited sources prior to submission.
Introduction:
- Explain study purpose and rationale clearly
- Present literature review/theoretical concepts
- Include at least 3 recent related works
- Article length: 10-15 pages
Formatting:
- Use Times New Roman, 12pt font, 1.5 line spacing
- Submit in .odt, .docx or .doc format (avoid .pdf)
- Title max 10 words
Research Method: Describe research design, population/sample, instruments, data analysis
Findings and Discussion:
- Findings: Present data/results addressing research questions
- Discussion: Interpret findings, relate to theory/previous studies
Conclusion: Linked to title/objectives, implications, no repetition of abstract/results
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Simmilarity result is 20% or less
- Remove any authorship from the manuscript to ensure the blindliness of the double-blinded review process
- Prepared authoship statement and data availability statements
Copyright Notice
Authors who submit a manuscript agree that, if their work is accepted for publication in English Education: Jurnal Tadris Bahasa Inggris (EE:JTBI), the copyright will be assigned to UIN Raden Intan Lampung, the journal's publisher. Upon acceptance, authors will be required to complete a 'Copyright Transfer Agreement' form by the online version of this agreement. The copyright form should be signed electronically and send to the Editorial Office in the form of the original e-mail: englisheducation@radenintan.ac.id.

Privacy Statement
English Education: Jurnal Tadris Bahasa Inggris respects the privacy of the authors and handles personal information with utmost care. When submitting the manuscript, we will only publish the email address in our journal. Rest assured that we are committed to maintaining the privacy of our authors. We will not disclose authors’ phone number to any individuals or entities outside of our editorial and review team. Authors’ contact information will be used solely for communication related to the review and publication process of the manuscript.

This journal charges the following author fees.
Fast-Track Review: 95.00 (USD)
With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.
Article Publication: 32.00 (USD)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.
If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
