Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  • The Manuscript should be written in Indonesian or English and have never been published or is not in the process of submission for publication to other media and does not contain elements of plagiarism.
  • The Manuscript may take the form of research, case studies, or literary studies.
  • The author should register as an author. The guides to register and submit the paper is at the bottom.
  • The manuscript will be published in Jurnal Sosiologi Agama after being reviewed by peer reviewers.
  • The Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines and Template. The writing template can be downloaded here.
  • Articles are written in Indonesian, with a length of between 6,000-10,000 words.

  • Articles include an abstract of 150-300 words and 3-5 keywords.

  • The author's full name is mentioned on the first page of the article without a title, accompanied by the author's institution and e-mail address.

  • Reference sources are written in the form of body notes using the ASA style Amarican Sociological Association 6th edition and are accompanied by a bibliography at the end of the article referring to the ASA model. 

  • It is recommended that references are managed by any reference manager software (such as Zotero or Mendeley), and the CSL file for the reference manager is downloadable for free here.

  • Foreign language terms that have not become loanwords in Indonesian are typed in italics

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
