Al-Dzikra: Journal of Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies is a scientific journal published by the Qur'an and Tafsir Studies Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Religious Studies, Raden Intan State Islamic University Lampung, Indonesia. Since 2015, Al-Dzikra Journal began to be produced through the Open Journal System (OJS) from volume 9 No. 1 with e-ISSN 2714-7916, which was previously only produced in the form of a printed journal, with ISSN: 1978-0893. At that time, the Journal was managed by Muslimin and in 2018 was replaced by Masruchin and other teams.
Articles that can be published in Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies are articles on empirical research results (quantitative and qualitative approaches), literature reviews or thought studies that are considered to contribute to the development of religious science, especially those related to the sciences of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith. Al-Dzikra specializes in the study of the Qur'an and Hadith from various perspectives. This subject includes all issues related to the Qur'an and Hadith such as classical investigations of the Qur'an, tafsir and Hadith, methodological studies of classical and contemporary scholars of the Qur'an and Hadith, contemporary approaches, oriental studies, living phenomena referred to as living Qur'an and Hadith, and all matters related to the interdisciplinary study of the Qur'an and Hadith.
Starting from the publication of volume 9 No. 1 in 2015 to volume 13 No. 2 in 2019, the article manuscripts published in Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies only amounted to 5 (five) articles. Then in volume 14 No. 1 of 2020 it increased to 8 (eight) articles until now. and all manuscripts in each volume have used two languages, Indonesian and English. And in volume 18 No. 1 in 2024, Al-Dzikra journal articles have all used foreign languages. This is based on the desire to improve the quality of articles, because a selection process is carried out on incoming articles.
The struggle carried out by Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies has paid off because it is consistent so that in 2020 Al-Dzikra is indexed on sinta 4. Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies is also indexed in Google Scholar, GARUDA, Dimensions and others (can be seen on the Indexing page).
In early January 2020, Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies has made improvements and updates, both in terms of management, which was previously managed by Muslimin, and is now chaired by Masruchin as Editor in Chief, as well as related to OJS journals such as revamping and updating the appearance of the website and also the article templates used. including templates that have changed such as the author's name, agency and email which were previously lined up to the bottom, and are now one line, then include corresponding, there is information when the author submitted, revised and accepted. then at the end of the sheet also includes copyright and license. Because currently Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies is cleaning up and making many changes, then the next target of Al-Dzikra: Journal of al-Qur'an and al-Hadith Studies is to get Sinta or SINTA 2 accreditation.
