KONSEP PENDIDIKAN TASAWUF (Kajian Tentang Tujuan dan Strategi Pencapaian dalam Pendidikan Tasawuf)

Abstract

Islamic education is uniquely different from other
types of educational theory and practice largely
because of the all-encompassing influence of the
Qur‟an. The Qur‟an serves as a comprehensive
blueprint for both the individual and society and as the
primary source of knowledge. Islamic spirituality
focuses on the activity al-qalb, or the heart; and alnafs
or the self or ego. Purification of the heart (tanqiya
al-qalb) and rectification of the self (tahdhib al-nafs) are
from the most important of personally obligatory acts
and of the imperative Divine commands, as proven by
the Book, the Sunna (tradition), and statements of the
scholars. The ultimate aim of Muslim education lies in
the realization of complete submission to Allah on the
level of the individual, the community and humanity at
large. And the aim of Islamic spiritual education is to cure
the human soul of this fatal malady and to make him
whole as he was in the Adamic state. In other word,
the aims are to make man achieve integration in all the
depth and breadth of his being and life. In the
following, will be discussed the the concept of tassawuf
education
