PEMBERDAYAAN IJTIHAD WAQI'I BAGI DA’I DALAM MASYARAKAT ISLAM

Abstract

Ijtihad is a technical term of Islamic law that describes
the process of making a legal decision by independent
interpretation of the legal sources, the Qur’an and the
Sunnah. Ijtihad waqi'i in the Islamic dakwah is very
important for the challenges facing the Muslim world.
Ijtihad is also important to find arguments for the
dakwah, and responding to the dynamic development
of Muslim civilization, as well as provide solutions to
their problems. In addition, ijtihad also brings benefits
in developing ukhuwah based on local wisdom in
Lampung. In its dakwah, da’i of the Nahdlatul Ulama
organization in Lampung, support the success of
ijtihad waqi'i, such as the empowering of the
intellectual preachers, their awareness and
competencies to synergize the textual messages with
contextual one, based on local wisdom. This article
will further elaborate on these topics.
