BALI DEMOCRACY STUDENT CONFERENCE; PROMOSI DEMOKRASI INDONESIA MELALUI PEOPLE TO PEOPLE DIALOGUE DALAM FORUM ANTAR PEMERINTAH

Abstract

This paper describes twice the implementation of the Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC) as a parallel forum in the Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) in 2017 and 2018. The practice of people to people (P2P) in intergovernmental forums (government to government/G2G) is useful soft diplomacy typical of the Indonesian title through the Bali Democracy Forum. In the discussion section, the author discusses to study and understand the appearance of BDSC where the features of soft diplomacy, G2G which accommodates P2P, are practically implemented with strategies and strategies. An attractive and renewed discussion in this paper brings conclusions about the two times the implementation of BDSC in BDF X in 2017 and BDF XI in 2018 has become a powerful promotional media in spreading Indonesia's climate change cooperation in the Asia Pacific Region.

ABSTRAK

Tulisan ini memaparkan tentang dua kali penyelenggaraan Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC) sebagai forum pararel dalam Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) tahun 2017 dan 2018.  Praktik people to people (P2P) dalam forum antar pemerintah (government to government/G2G) menjadi karakteristik yang khas dari gelaran soft diplomacy Indonesia melalui Bali Democracy Forum.  Dalam bagian pembahasan, penulis  bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara tajam dan mendalam tampilan BDSC dimana karakteristik soft diplomacy, G2G yang mengakomodir P2P, secara praktis diimplementasikan taktis dan strategis.  Pembahasan yang atraktif dan mengusung kebaruan dalam tulisan ini membawa kepada kesimpulan bahwa dua kali penyelenggaraan BDSC dalam BDF X tahun 2017 dan BDF XI tahun 2018 telah menjadi media promosi yang ampuh dalam menyebarluaskan  pengaruh keberhasilan transformasi demokrasi Indonesia di Kawasan Asia Pasifik.
