Abstract

Abstract: Advances in human science and technology have led to the rapid development of the world economy today. Many products are sold freely, both domestically and abroad, indicating the development of the economy and trade. Economic progress has encouraged the growth of the production and trade sectors, which indirectly increases the power of business actors on the one hand and can put consumers on the weak side. According to Article 1 Paragraph 2 of Law No.8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, a consumer is any person who uses goods and or services available in the community, not for trade, either for the benefit of oneself, family, others, or other living beings. This paper tries to examine the legal protection and forms of responsibility or forms of consumer protection for the sale and purchase of damaged goods within the scope of Sharia Economic Law.
